| When considering which type of weighbridges to use for your own particular operation, it is important to take in to account the Following: | ||||||

| Full length Truck Weighbridge may be either portable or permanent installation. Portable Weigbridges include a lower frame work that is placed on a prepared surface and ramps are placed at either end for access. Portable Weighbridges are generally more expensive because of the lower frame work but are much easier to move from site to site and are ideal for contractors or road builders. These types of Weighbridges are not our scope of supply. We will consider only the Permanent Weighbridges. These permenent Weighbridges may be mounted either in Pit or above the ground low profile design,where the scale is mounted on a concrete slab with ramps at either end. Generally the Total Cost of a Pit type Weighbridge is greater because of the increased cost of excavation and pit construction .But this type of Weighbridges require less land, so where there is lesser space, we can go for such type of Weighbridges. Low profile Weighbridge's (Surface mounted or Pit less) design are less expensive yet require construction of access ramps at either end of the scale. This type of Weighbridge requires more land than others.Because the both side side Ramps of the Weighbridge require approximately same length as the length of Weighbridge. So in Public Weighbridge the most preferred choice is Pit Type Weigbridge. The Pitless or surface Mount Weighbridges are the first choice of big Industries where Land is not a big Problem as well as in Rainy area where water logging ia a major Problem. | ||||||
| Considering the above mentioned points, one can easily choose his better choice for Weighbridges. This type of Weighbridge gives the highest levels of accuracy for gross vehicle weights and may be tested and stamped for trade use. surface mounted ar Pit less weighbridges are usually from 7.5 mtr. upto 20 mtr long (Standard) and with capacities ranging from 30 ton to 100 tons as per the length of vehicle.The platform is above the Ground Level and Ramps are provided on the both sides . This design can be structured with 2 Nos of Joists as per platform sizes and capacities only in longitudinal direction and the others are in vertical directions to the main Joists. This is mainly know as Moduler section Design and may be in 1/2/3 modules. The Top plate will be with antiskid strips and Bolted with the modular Joists. In box type design, the box have to be placed in between the main Joists and bolted. The top Plate with antiskid strips, is welded with the box and each Box can be in compression load cell mounting or double endded shear beam Load cell mounting as per requirement. This type of weighbridge gives the highest levels of accuracy for gross vehicle weights and may be tested and stamped for trade use .Pit type weighbridges are usually from 7.5 mtr. upto 20 mtr long (standard) and the capacities ranging from 30 ton to 100 tons as per the length of Weighbridge. Thus this type of weighbridges can accommodate even the largest road vehicle. | ||||||

The Main Joists rest upon on the Transom and may be in 1/2/3 modules.The Top Plate will be with antiskid strips.
